Raymond Beresford Hamilton grew up in Metuchen, New Jersey. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at Jersey City State College, soon after graduating joined the United States Army and later became a certified military instructor. Over the course of his twenty years of military service he earned the rank of Sergeant First Class, earned five Accommodation medals, performed Basic Electronics instructor duties at Fort Gordon, Georgia, and served in both the Gulf War and the Iraq War.
